Can’t Keep Up? 3 Ways To Organize Your Closet To Save You 10 Minutes Each Morning

VENDORS I WORK WITH:

Have you ever felt heavy or weighed down and you can’t figure out what it is? Is it a stomach ache? allergic to something? Uhh dunno know. You try different things like taking medicine, getting sleep, and NOTHING WORKS. Until you go to the bathroom, take a dump and wahala! like magic you feel lighter, clearer, and happier. It’s like your body is saying THANK YOU for getting that crap out and letting it breathe.

Well, we can do that with the physical areas of our lives, which impacts us internally (our hearts & minds) and I’m here to help you create peace in your life, one space at time.

Brief Backstory: I’ve been obsessed with organization since I was a little girl and I fit the type A, black & white, borderline perfectionist personality. However, every single person (us Type A, overachiever’s included) have things in nooks and crannies that we haven’t dealt with and fortunately, my coach, Brooke Castillo, gave us an incredible assignment for this month (organizing your life and mind) and each week we had to pick a place to organize. And it’s been transformative!

I will be breaking up this before/after kitchen in parts, because I have a gourmet (fancy way of saying larger than normal) kitchen and a plethora of cabinets, and I respect your time… who loves over the top, never ending blog posts? Not me.

KITCHEN OVERHAUL PART 1

Tupperware Cabinet

BEFORE

Tip: Remove everything. Itemize/categorize by color or shape. Every container must have a corresponding lid that FITS. Limit yourself to a certain number of containers, I like the number 4. You choose your number.

Electric Blending, Baking, & Juicing Machinery Cabinet

BEFORE

Tip: Remove everything. List it out. Vitamix. Cake mixer. Juicer. Salamaster. Items that don’t belong like lunch kit, tupperware container, etcetera are removed entirely. Keep similar colors on one row, for example white machinery on bottom and darker colored machinery on top.

Glass Mixing Bowls & Baking Trays Cabinet

Tip: Remove everything, but do not throw away papers. Review papers to see if you need to scan and save it to your digital files first. Then, dump. Throw away ketchup packets, and to go plastic ware. If you haven’t used it now, you probably won’t ever use it and plus, it’s probably expired.

I don’t do these blogs for my own enjoyment (though I do enjoy them), my goal is to help you save time, and create more peace. I’d love to know what do you find challenging about organizing your kitchen?
